The two clients had different demands for this project: one asked for colorful planting, while the other preferred a dominantly green and formal garden. The outcome is the result of a balanced application of both.
Levels were created in the front yard to help emphasize the view seen from within the house. Bay tree hedges and cypress trees frame the landscape while securing privacy and provide screening to its surroundings.
Marble and teak is used for flooring at the deck, sitting area and walkways; complementing the modern architectural style of the house.
Plants selected from a limited color palette are positioned in color groups, to meet both clients’ demands. All plants used are durable to the weather of this site, located on a hill by the sea exposed to high salt winds.
