The clients asked for a functional garden that accommodates a bar area seating 5-6 people, a sunbathing area, shower and changing unit for their summer house by the sea.
The layout of this compact garden took shape around the pool. The sunbathing area was set on both sides of the pool leaving front of the stone retaining wall for the bar. To make the most of the view an angular bar was designed at a distance from the tall retaining wall. The light-colored camouflage shade mesh provides sun protection even at highest temperatures and drops its delicate shadow beneath.
Thermowood deck floor was used with the lawn for durability as the white stone used for the bar works as an extension of the house’s architecture.
Soft landscaping plants were selected to ensure a beach house vibe whilst being durable to harsh salt winds.
